Ceratx Integration
Enabling the Integration
- Navigate to the Integration tab from the main sidebar.
- Select the Tax category.
- Click on Ceretax.
- Fill in the required credentials in the pop-up window:
- Profile: (e.g., FiberGoal)
- API Key: Enter your unique Ceretax API key.
- Business Type: (e.g., VoIP)
- Seller Type: (e.g., Nexus)
- Sandbox/Active: Toggle these based on whether you are testing or going live.
- Click Save.
Mapping PS Codes
Once the integration is active, you must map your services to the correct tax codes (PS Codes).
- After saving the integration, click the green Add Mapping button.
- You will be directed to the Ceretax Mapping page.
- Here, you can assign specific PS Codes to your:
- Subscriptions: (e.g., CRM Integration, E911, Voicemail Box)
- Items: (e.g., specific hardware or one-time fees)
- Others: (e.g., Usage, SMS, MMS, Data)
- Use the Edit (pencil icon) to update codes for each line item to ensure accurate tax calculation.
Configuring Billing Classes
To ensure taxes are applied to your customers, you need to update your Billing Class settings.
- Go to Settings > Billing Class.
- Select the Billing Class you wish to update and click Edit.
- In the Tax Rate dropdown menu, select Ceretax.
- Navigate to the newly appeared Ceretax Tab within the billing class settings.
- Select the appropriate Customer Type (e.g., Business/Commercial, Senior Citizen, etc.).
- Click Save.
Posting Invoices to Ceretax
Once your invoices are generated and you are ready to finalize the tax data:
- Navigate to Billing > Invoice.
- Select the specific invoices you want to process by checking the boxes on the left.
- Click the Action button at the top right of the list.
- Select Ceretax Invoice Post.
