Avalara Tax Integration – NEON

We have introduced an Avalara Tax Integration feature in NEON to automate tax calculation on customer invoices. This eliminates manual tax entry and ensures accurate, region-specific tax compliance directly within the system.

 Purpose

The purpose of this implementation is to:

• Automate tax calculations on invoices.
• Reduce manual errors and ensure compliance with region-specific tax rules.
• Provide seamless integration with Avalara for real-time tax determination.

How to Access

1. Login to your NEON Admin Panel.
2. Navigate to: Integration → Tax.
3. Select the Avalara option from the available tax integrations.
4. A popup window will appear prompting you to enter the required details

Configuration

• Billing Class:
• Navigate to Settings → Billing Class → Tax Rate.
• Select the option Avalara from the drop down.

This ensures that tax rates are automatically pulled from Avalara instead of being manually configured.
